o hum..5 favs

My fabulous fives this week are going to be straight forward. I have decided that Kirsty is really the only one reading them. Even after my plea last week . 1 comment only. From Kirsty. So really ??????

1. Finished working 5 days a week. I had a time when I was only working 3 days and then the past 3 weeks I have worked 5 days a week. So from this weekend I am back to 4 days a week..but note only 4.. YES that makes me happy..

2. Holiday activities I have done at Lismore Library. Yep its been intensive but good. Sock puppets today and knitting last Tuesday. Great to see the fun the kids have.

3 Mollys new hoodie. Very cute.

4. Sort of rolls on from 1. Being at home and having time to do anything I want...or not want. O YES!!

5. Having Aj home again. She has been away for nearly 2 weeks.. (well sort of,,off and on) but lovely to have her smiley face back again..

5 favs yet again

Ok so my groundhog day continues..Its Friday again and O My Gosh the week has flown by...

So to my favs...

1.. seeing my beautiful daughter (one of my beautiful daughters) so happy. This past week she has had 2 friends to stay and she has been so happy. She has laughed and talked and cried and all the things that you do with a real friend. My heart was just so happy seeing her happy. Its hard in a country area to make good friends, and she does have friends, but these girls were with her in bible college and one was a roomie/housemate and so know heaps about each other ..good and bad..yep this week that really has rated as my number 1!!

2.. funny enough this is also about the same daughter...yep she is away this week...YAY!! so as happy as I was to see her happy...I am thrilled that she has gone 'west' to visit her wonderful sister who lives in the boonies.. Al and I get time alone so that is really exciting too..

3..This would really rate..getting Kim and Bethys rabbitt back into the laundry..where it lives. It really was a nightmare time looking after Houdini. Kim and Bethy still call it Sunny (the rabbitt) but we know its real name. The first night we went over it escaped into the house 'somewhere' all doors were open including the door to the garage but we managed to find it and lure it into the kitchen and all was good...the next night we went over and as I peeked in to see the cute bunny...HORROR!!! It was gione It had flown the coop.or at least the laundry.. so after an 45 min run round the house..trying to coax it with broccolli etc we finally got it back into the laundry..AAHH!! But then the next morning I was worried about the mess I has kleft from where the rabbitt had been out all day , so good Mother that I am I thought I would go over on my way to work and tidy up. So I just popped in AND>>>>!!!!!.......yep you guessed it. It was out AGAIN...Houdini had struck again.. so after finding it andd then chasing it around the house with a mop, blocking doorways with pillows.. etc etc etc, I was VERY happy to see it slide sideways through the laundry door,,,straight through its litter tray and bang into the wall on the other side.. Yep that rates as a fav.. It also rates as my most stressful part of the week. I think I now know why we never had rabbitts..

4.. being a media star. so this week the library launched a new baby program called 10 minutes a day sponsored by the Newcastle permanent and yep I was asked to read to the kidlets..mind u the kidlets had been dragged in from the library upstairs (and I think some from off the street) so they could have a young audience..but yep I got to be on NBN.. No please its Ok I will sign all autographs.. just be patient and stand in line..

number 5 would be my husband and our love of coffee/time together. Whenever I am in town and he is at work, we usually catch up for a quick coffee..I love that after 34 years married we can still love spending time together. I think I had a misconception that when you were married "forever" (as I thought my parents were after 33 years married ) that you just stopped having those intimate moments. But I am pleased to announce to all you who only have a few years together..its not true and spending time together is still precious to us..

ooo how young we were...That is Fr Macarthur who is infamous in Australia for his Fr macs heavenly puddings...He died in the early 90's. Great man

time for 5 favs again....

5 favs yet again....Well this week as it is our 34th wedding anniversary it all has this as my theme..

1.. being married to an amazing man. 34 years later and I love him more then ever..Our love really has grown.. When we said those words 'to love, cherish, through good times and bad, in sickness and in health' we didn't realise how true those words would be..and we have had all those things but we are still here and loving each other. I still get excited when I see him, yep still in love and going strong..

2..So this leads us to our 5 children..a real blessing in our life and a source of joy always for us..each one is cherished and loved and we feel blessed for each miricle that our love has produced

3. Doing simple things together..soup and crusty bread for tea, going for coffee, a spa, sitting and watching tv..happy with silences..all beautiful and good

4. Friends who have helped us along the way and continue to do so..we love you all and thank you for your support.. who doesn't love good friends in good times and in bad times..

5..pictures..over the past 34 years we have thousands of pictures and so I am just putting 2 here of us..1 from our wedding day and one from this weekend...good one..love pictures brings baxk memories and stirs the sririt..

Nearly a recording star

Yep that was me

what a week I have had. So tomorrow is my 5th day of work..even though really Tuesday I was not actually "at work" I was at the recording studio..Need to find out off Danny if I can upload sound to my blog..shame it wasn't on video..


Yep Luke Vassello and I actually got together in his brand new recording studio to burn----no cut a cd..so exciting..unfortunatly it was just all nursery rhymes etc which, I might add I can not sing unless I do the actions....LOL.


Luke is a local singer/somgwritter who also happens to come to storytime and he helped me soo much. I have always wanted to do it..but I was very disappointed that I sounded pretty ordinary. I thinkk I used to be able to sing.. Anyway I loved sitting there in front of the big mike and with the head gear on..loved it..I really thinkl I could be on radio..


So i have a cd which we can use if I am ever away from work..if anyone wants to...Friday faves tomrrow.. I reckon this experience will rate

Well really 5 favs again. I think I might have to start with fabulous fours or...only ones..or something. Some weeks I really scratch to come up with 5.....especially this week. I have had a bit of a shocker..testerday I was AWFUL...people at work had never seen me that bad..which is possibly because I never am that bad..but boy o boy I was yesterday..hideous..so it just goes to show u how hard the favs will be this week...
So number 1...um let me think..um ...yep...nearly got it...um yes!!! having lunch with my transplant buddies. So good to catch up. Feel normal with them..yep that rates...

Number 2..um um..um..when AJ cleaned up the kitchen yesterday morning when I was soooo grumpy. I came out after cleaning my teeth and she said..'look at the kitchen' yep she had tidied it and put the dishwasher on and then said 'but I am not doing it again so don't be in a bad mood again' O well it did make me happy ..very briefly..

Number 3 was watching Molly (the wonder dog) chasing a moth ( a very LARGE moth) all over the house this morning. did egg her on just a little..Hillarious.. up and over the table whining and crying and she watched it the whol;e time. It was sooo funny...

Number 4. Someone cooking you dinner. Our friend Clairebelle came over and cooked the most amazing dinner. Chuicken wrapped in prochetta with parmesan cheese and thyme..YUM and beautifully wrapped vegis parcels,,steamed O YUM YUM.. Thank you Claire it was such a great gift.

Number 5.. OOO UUUMMMM Ok I have it.. Coffee..yep it makes me happy and tastes good and makes you civilized..well sometimes..yep that is it..
